My paintings begin with the belief that memory, imagination, and the present are not separate places, but different depths of the same landscape.
They are maps of consciousness itself—landscapes of experience where time changes shape, memory and perception overlap.
Through layers of color, texture, and imagery, I explore the unseen terrain within us: the places where moments coexist, memories linger, and inner and outer worlds become intertwined.
Each mark contributes to a larger existence, where the work develops its own identity through the process of becoming—mirroring our own lives, where layers accumulate, transform, and reveal who we are over time.
The accompanying reflections extend this process beyond the surface, inviting the viewer into a deeper consideration of how things are formed, transformed, and how the imagined and the realized coexist across layers of time.

"Vertical Horizons"
Oil + Ink Collage on canvas
18" x 24"
Familiar boundaries dissolve and impossible spaces become a way of expressing something deeply true: that experience is layered rather than linear.
Time does not always move us from one moment to the next. Sometimes it gathers memory, imagination, and presence into the same place—revealing the many depths of a single experience.

"Migration of Soul"
Oil Collage on canvas
18" x 24"
Time is not linear but permeable. Ancestry, destiny, and lived experience pass through one another, the soul itself is in motion—crossing thresholds and dissolving boundaries.
Within each of us exists a landscape where memory, imagination, intuition, and lived experience meet. The visible world is only one layer of a much larger reality.

"Time Is Tall and Wide"
36" x 48"
Oil on canvas
Time is a landscape rather than a line. Tme has dimension—height, width, depth—that we move through rather than simply along.
Geologic time. Mountains, canyons, and layers of rock. Time is something physical and immense.
Memory is a place. Our memories aren't organized chronologically. We experience them as a broad terrain, wandered, without roads.

"The Atmosphere of Memory"
Oil + Ink Collage on canvas
18" x 24"
Memory carries its own atmosphere. Each moment leaves behind a kind of weather we move through later—the temperature, pressure, and emotional air they were held in. The aftermath within an emotional field, residue of lived experience suspended in perception.

"Marrow"
Oil + Pastel Collage on canvas
36" x 48"
Functions become figures in a living system—making decisions within a charged field.
Weather and geography inside flesh—where the body as a living terrain of shifting climates and topography beneath the skin.
An anatomy of collective life, where the body expands into a society, vocations, avocations, and interdependence.

"The Place Where Dreams Collect"
Oil + Ink Collage on canvas
18" x 24"
Exhaustion and transcendence—the human condition, in the field of its unfolding.
Gardeners tend black flowers— beauty absorbed into the conditions of work.
Yet peace permeates from beyond the human reality, seeping through the weight of the world.
The following works explore the wild adventure of the mind’s journey, where wonder and absurdity collide in unexpected ways. Imagination is the last frontier—not a fixed destination, but a universe that unfolds as we enter it.
Here, ideas tumble, transform, and take on lives of their own, carrying us beyond the familiar into places that could only exist within us. These paintings celebrate that wild terrain—the strange, joyful places the mind discovers when it is free to wander.
